At International Education Corporation IEC , we understand the transformative power of education and its ability to nurture opportunities, change lives, and help students achieve their dreams. As an employee-owned organization, IEC and our subsidiaries are dedicated to the success of our students, our employees, and the communities we serve.
We strive to drive personal and community transformation by empowering students to make a positive and enduring life change. For 40 years, we have remained committed to making a positive impact in the communities we serve by providing access to quality, short-term vocational and career training programs in high-demand verticals like healthcare, business, technology, skilled trades, and criminal justice.
The year brought an unprecedented crisis with the COVID pandemic, and just like institutions across the nation, IEC and our subsidiaries were forced to respond quickly to protect the health, safety, and well-being of all students and employees.
At the onset of the pandemic, IEC closed all campuses for in-person instruction while leaders evaluated how to navigate the challenges of this new reality. At IEC, we believe that positive social change will come about only when the barriers of gender identity, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and religious beliefs are overcome.
We will champion diversity, inclusion and equality across our network of schools, and we will inspire a new generation of graduates to be active participants in these endeavors in their local communities. We stand with the African-American community in the push for social justice.
With this scholarship, we seek to honor an individual who has the passion, drive, and commitment to be an agent of change for social justice.
IEC has a long history of partnering with employers at the local, regional, and national levels.
